S2S volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Positions are filled on an AS NEEDED basis.
Administrative & Marketing
Admin and marketing volunteers assist with day to day office work; newsletters, organizing, mailings, implementing marketing strategies, and data entry. It may not sound glamorous, but it’s often our most valued volunteer position. We are always in need of volunteers to help us with this type of work.
These volunteers will attend various nature festivals with S2S staff. This is a great position for those who enjoy teaching people about animal ecology, habitat conservation, and promoting S2S’s mission.
Event volunteers help us facilitate a memorable experience for our guests during special events, such as fundraisers. They often help with setup, greeting guests, promoting S2S and its work, and assisting the event coordinators.
This is a popular volunteer position, and one that is often already filled. These volunteers will assist S2S scientists during field activities and aid in the care of tools, equipment, and general support during manatee releases, relocations, and tagging events. These volunteers typically have past experience or specialized training.
